About
My Journey into the Mystery
It was 1995, and I was stuck at Malta airport with time to kill. I picked up a copy of The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail by Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh, and Henry Lincoln. By the time my flight landed, I was hooked.
What started as airport reading became an obsession. I began travelling to Rennes-le-Château, exploring the village and its surroundings, meeting researchers and locals, and piecing together the fragments of this extraordinary puzzle. For years, my father and I made annual pilgrimages to the region, part research trip, part treasure hunt, always an adventure.
Then in 2003, Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code catapulted this obscure French mystery onto the world stage. Suddenly, everyone was talking about Saunière, the parchments, and the secrets of a small hilltop village in the Languedoc.
About This Site
That same year, I launched rlcresearch.com. What began as a passion project remains one to this day, a labour of love dedicated to unravelling the enduring mystery of Rennes-le-Château.
Over two decades later, I'm still here. Still fascinated. Still digging.
You may notice that some corners of this site feel a bit rough around the edges, a clunky interface here, a pixelated or missing image there. That's because I'm gradually bringing everything up to modern standards while preserving the extensive research and resources collected over the years.
Thank you for visiting, and for sharing in this journey through one of history's most captivating enigmas.
